Things To Do This Fall in Rochester
Fall is upon us, and we are lucky as New York residents to have a plethora of exciting events happening this time of year. Read on to see what's happening this fall in our beautiful city of Rochester. Did we miss any of your favorites? Comment with your recommendations!
September 10th and 11th - Clothesline Festival
- Rochester's largest and longest-running fine arts and crafts festival. All day live entertainment and food from many of Rochester's most popular vendors. With the completion of the Memorial Art Gallery's Centennial Sculpture Park, the festival will have full use of the MAG campus.

September 17th - Kettlefest @ Kettle Ridge Farm
- Live music including the Honey Smugglers, String Chickens, Jackson Cavalier & The Fevertons, Thurlow and more. Enjoy wood walks, maple/honey demos, beekeeping how-tos, as well as tons of childrens activities, delicious local foods and wines, and artisan displays.

September 18th - Fall Foliage by Trolley
- Enjoy the beauty of Rochester's fall foliage via the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum's 86-year old electric trolley car. Trolly departs every half-hour starting at 11:30 AM and no reservations are required.

September 24 - Naples Grape Festival
- Celebrate the areas grape harvest, area vendors, talented artisans, wine makers, delicious cuisine and local music. Sample everything "grape" that the Naples valley has to offer.

September 24 - Barktoberfest
- Biggest pet-friendly walk and festival to benefit homeless and abused animals in the Rochester community. In 2015, over $100,000 was raised to support Lollypop Farm, and the organization has set the same goal for 2016. Enjoy K9 contests, dog agility demonstrations, fun runs, a food court, raffles, beer garden and more.

October 1st and 2nd, 15th and 16th, and 29th and 30th - Pumpkin Patch Trains
- Enjoy a mile and a half train tride through rural museum grounds locaed in the Genesee Valley. Ride a historic train, and all riding children may walk through the Pumpkin Patch and pick out a baby pumpkin to take home to decorate for Halloween. Complementary cider and donuts are provided, as well as access to a family friendly petting zo.

October 1st and 2nd - Fall Fest and Agriculture Fair
- 19th-century country fair comprised of family friendly entertainment, puppet shows, live music, fortune tellers, vintage baseball, and more. Tour the 19th-century fully-functioning brewery throught the day, watch the Rochester Poultry Association's 109th Annual Show, and cheer on your favorite goat at the Genesee Country Dairy Goat Club Show.

October 29th and 30th - Trick or Treating in the Village @ GCV&M
- Due to popular demand, now enjoy two days of trick-or-treating in the Historic Village of the Genesee Country Village & Museum. Treats include a variety of trinkets and candy. Small bags will be provided for each trick-or-treater at admission, or you may bring your own bag/bucket. Free face painting will be provided, as well as changes to listen to spooky campfire stories, marshmallow roasting and more. Snow White, Frozen's Anna and Elsa, and Disney Channel's Sofia the First have all visited the museum to sign autographs and pose for pictures in the past - who will be visiting this fall?
